Test drove a 2016 Corolla and it felt fine — do I still need a full inspection?
The car drove smooth, AC was cold, no warning lights. Seller is honest-seeming and wants a quick decision. Is paying for a pre-purchase inspection really worth it if the test drive was good?

It can't reveal: prior accident repair hidden under fresh paint, chassis rust or weld repairs, engine internals and compression, gearbox wear, odometer tampering, or electrical faults that appear later. An inspection is a few thousand rupees; a hidden engine or accident-repair problem is lakhs. On a 41-lakh car, skipping a ~0.1% inspection cost to "save time" is the most expensive shortcut in car buying. Inspect before you invest.
